Adamello Glacier and Summit: Ascend into the Heart of Val Camonica
Guiddy Mountaineering Scale
PD (Little Difficult)
The adventure begins
Description
In the heart of Val Camonica, Mount Adamello rises like a sentinel of stone and ice – imposing, sacred, eternal. Experience it with a light heart and sure footing, surrounded by friends old and new, among trails, peaks, and Guidders' smiles. We'll hike across Italy's largest glacier, traversing the majestic expanse of the Pian di Neve (Snow Plain), amidst memories of the Great War and breathtaking panoramas. This two-day guided trek, led by a certified mountain guide, is a physical and symbolic journey into the heart of the Alps. Adamello is a mountain that isn't conquered: it's listened to, respected, and allowed to embrace you. And with every step, among rocks, ropes, and infinite silences, it will be the mountain that conquers us. 📍 Itinerary Highlights 1. Day 1 – Ascent to Rifugio Prudenzini (2235 m / 7,332 ft) • Departure from the valley floor of Val Salarno, crossing forests and wild pastures. • Strenuous ascent (approx. 800 m / 2,625 ft elevation gain) to Rifugio Prudenzini, nestled among the rocks. • Dinner, technical briefing with the guide, and overnight stay in the mountain hut. 2. Day 2 – Ascent to Mount Adamello (3539 m / 11,611 ft) • Pre-dawn departure towards Bivacco Giannantonj. • Traverse across rocky sections and scree slopes to the entrance of the Pian di Neve glacier. • Roped-up glacier travel with crampons across the vast glacial expanse, heading towards the summit. 3. Summit Attempt (3539 m / 11,611 ft) • Final sections on mixed terrain with some rocky scrambling. • Breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Adamello and Ortles-Cevedale groups. • Summit photos, hugs, pure emotion. 4. Return to Rifugio Prudenzini and Descent to the Valley • Retrace our steps across the Pian di Neve and a long but spectacular descent. • Return to the cars in the afternoon, with hearts full and legs tired but light.

RoadTo4000
Road to 4000 is Guiddy's program designed for those who want to enter the world of mountaineering with awareness, progress, and camaraderie. It's a structured program of carefully selected itineraries from our team, designed as technical and physical training in preparation for climbing to the Margherita Hut. Our goal is to build skills, confidence, and team spirit. This isn't just about altitude acclimatization; it's a genuine journey of growth. From the first summits to the most challenging climbs, we'll tackle diverse mountain environments, learning to read, interpret, and respect them. Each outing is designed to develop endurance, elevation gain management, altitude adaptation, and confidence in the alpine environment. Road to 4000 is also about sharing and synergy: a group of Guidders united by the same dream, getting to know each other step by step, exchanging technical information, experiences, and authentic moments lived together in the mountains. You won't be climbing with strangers, but with a team that grows, supports each other, and arrives ready for the challenge of the 4000-meter peaks. It's a journey made of preparation, friendship, and concrete goals. The summit is the objective. The journey, the people, and the emotions… that's the real adventure. 🧡
