A special hike on Lake Como where nature, history and mystery come together. Accompanied by the Guidders, we’ll set off from Torno and make our way up towards Montepiatto through quiet woods and spectacular views of the lake. Along the trail, we’ll come across erratic boulders and the fascinating Sassi Avelli, ancient stones shrouded in mystery and legend. A perfect trek for those who love to walk with a curious eye.
From the village of Torno, we’ll follow the ancient mule track that climbs to Montepiatto through a cool beech and chestnut forest. The path is well-marked and alternates between stepped sections and gentle inclines, offering splendid panoramic views of the first basin of Lake Como.
Once we reach Montepiatto, we’ll set out to discover its most famous wonders: the Pietra Pendula and the Sassi Avelli, large boulders shaped by time and linked to folk tales. A simple yet fascinating hike, ideal for those seeking beauty, intrigue and authentic atmospheres.
