From Piedmont to Lago Verde: An Alpine Itinerary Between Italy and France
Starting from Prali, in Val Germanasca, you will immerse yourself in an alpine adventure that will lead you to the Rifugio Lago Verde (2,590 m), a true jewel nestled among the peaks.
The excursion begins by gently ascending the valley, following the stream until you reach the pastures of Bout du Col (1,750 m), where a small alpine lake will welcome you. From here, the ascent becomes more decisive, leading you to Pian Littorio (2,150 m) and then to Fontanone, at the foot of the path to Colle d'Abries, now just a step away from the French border.
Following a panoramic dirt track, you will reach the Rifugio Lago Verde. Here, the spectacle of the peaks reflected in the crystal-clear waters of the lake will give you an unforgettable break, before you can continue towards the panoramic Passo Bucie.
