The low Grigne traverse: autumn colours and Rifugio Pialeral
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
The Grigna woods when they turn red
A magical hike among autumn colours. We start from the Piani dei Resinelli and dive into the trails of the Grigna Settentrionale Regional Park, where the woods turn red, orange and gold in the weeks of foliage.
Along the way we find panoramic glimpses over Valsassina, made even more striking by the colours wrapping the landscape. The traverse stays low, below the Grigna walls: no summit, no technical sections, just woods and views.
Reaching Rifugio Pialeral we stop for lunch, then close the loop. It is 15 kilometres with barely 560 metres of ascent: the route is simple and suitable for everyone, ideal for enjoying the season at a calm pace.
Why come
- autumn colours in the woods of the Grigna Settentrionale park
- views over Valsassina along the whole traverse
- lunch at Rifugio Pialeral, below the Grigna walls
- 560 metres of ascent over fifteen kilometres: suitable for everyone
