Autumn Hike from Riomaggiore to Portovenere: the Infinite Trail, Cinque Terre

Description
The Infinite Trail, autumn colors blazing across the Unesco terraces of Cinque Terre. Morning departure, backpack on, and one of Liguria's most beautiful trails waiting ahead.
Starting from Riomaggiore on the SVA path, you'll reach the Montenero Sanctuary with sweeping coastal views. Then up through Sciacchetrà vineyards, past tiny Lemmen village, to Colle del Telegrafo (520m) on the Alta Via delle 5 Terre. Chestnut woods, Sella di Sant'Antonio, the old mule track down to Nozzano fountain, and Campiglia, where you'll stop for lunch overlooking the Gulf of La Spezia and the Apuan Alps. In the golden afternoon light comes the trail's finest stretch: a cliffside path above the sea toward Il Pitone, with Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto islands in view all the way to Portovenere, crowned by its Castle and the Church of San Pietro.
