Description

An excursion that is much more than a path: it is a journey into the most authentic autumn, among golden larches, crystalline reflections and breathtaking views.

The route starts from Grange Selvest, among sparse woods and silent pastures. It gently climbs along a path that crosses open valleys and stony ground, while the crisp air and the first colors of the foliage accompany us upwards. Every step is a discovery: the bright yellow of the larches, the muffled silence of the mountain, the elegant profile of Rocca La Meja that approaches.

Then, suddenly, here is Lago Nero: nestled in a solitary basin at 2,246 meters, deep, still, mysterious. Its name does not lie: in autumn, the dark blue of its waters contrasts with the warm gold of the trees, offering one of the most evocative spectacles of the Cuneo Alps. In the background, Monviso appears like a distant guardian.

The path continues downhill, closing the loop through ancient granges and fiery larch forests, under a clear sky that seems drawn. Every curve offers a new glimpse, every step is an invitation to wonder.
