Description

The trek to the Barba Ferrero Refuge is a fascinating excursion in the heart of the Alta Valsesia Natural Park, in one of the most spectacular alpine environments of the western arc. The refuge stands in Alpe Vigne, perched on a panoramic ridge that offers a close-up and powerful view of the glaciers of Monte Rosa, especially its southern slope. The landscape surrounding the refuge is a true high-altitude amphitheater: the view sweeps across some of the most iconic peaks over 4000 meters, such as Punta Gnifetti, Punta Parrot, Punta Giordani and Vincent. A magnificent environment, which conveys all the strength and beauty of the high mountains. Arriving at the refuge, we will grant ourselves a convivial stop: in front of a good plate of polenta, time slows down and the gaze gets lost between glaciers, ridges and sky. It is one of those moments that remain impressed, to be lived calmly and to be shared together with the Guidders community. An ideal trek for those looking for wide-ranging alpine views, a high mountain atmosphere and conviviality, in one of the most evocative contexts of the Alps.

Guide

Stefano

Hi, I'm Stefano, and I've always had a deep connection with the mountains. From a young age, I found freedom, discovery, and a connection with nature on the trails, in the woods, and on the summits. Over time, this passion has grown into something more: a desire to share it with others. I believe that a hike is a unique experience, a journey to discover yourself and the world around you. Today, I guide people of all ages and experience levels as they explore mountain landscapes. I share not only technical knowledge and safety tips, but also respect for the environment and the pleasure of moving at a slow pace, in harmony with nature. I believe that hiking in the mountains is more than just physical activity; it's an experience that can deeply enrich those who live it, helping them rediscover their inner rhythm and see the world with fresh eyes.
