Cima degli Orsi: 1,350 metres above the upper lake

The hike to Cima degli Orsi is a surprising, little-travelled route, meant for fit Guidders used to serious height gain. With its 1,350 metres of climbing it becomes an ambitious and very rewarding goal: a real mountain day, the kind you remember.

The route runs through silent woods, panoramic ridges and bright clearings, with constantly changing surroundings and a walk that never gets dull. The climb is continuous but steady: ideal for those who like testing themselves without going technical.

From the summit, at 2,245 metres, the view turns full circle over Lake Como, the Resegone, the Orobie and the Rhaetian Alps. The return follows a gentler trail, which the legs appreciate.
