A trek in Upper Val Formazza to discover the Boden Lakes, among alpine panoramas, history, and nature. With the Guidders, we will set off from Riale, the last village in the valley and a precious testament to Walser culture, climbing along trails immersed in a high-altitude environment of extraordinary beauty. We will reach Rifugio Maria Luisa, a historic mountain refuge overlooking Val Toggia, and then continue toward the Boden Lakes, two crystal-clear bodies of water shaped by glaciers and surrounded by distinctive karst formations. Accompanying us will be the peaks of the Lepontine Alps, wide pastures, and sweeping views all the way to the Swiss border. Hiking grade E, with no particular technical difficulties.
