Cima della Zocca: The Wild Summit Between Valtellina and Tartano Valley
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Difficult
Description
The Zocca Peak, also known as Assola Peak, is a grassy and panoramic summit that separates the Tartano Valley from Valtellina. A fascinating itinerary, off the beaten path, perfect for experienced Guidders who love the authentic mountains, trails to interpret, and climbs that are earned with strong legs, attention, and a spirit of adventure.
The route does not present any alpine difficulties, but it requires good training, a steady foot, and familiarity with navigating poorly marked forks and steep sections. Precisely for this reason, the ascent to the summit is even more rewarding: one of those excursions for those who love to read the mountain, be guided by experience, and enjoy a panoramic peak away from the most popular routes. An intense, wild, and super rewarding trek, to be experienced together with the Guidders community with a smile and with that desire for discovery that always takes us a little higher. 🧡
