Description
An intense, atmospheric trek in the heart of Val di Scalve, in the province of Bergamo, with Guidders to the Gleno Dam starting from San Carlo di Vilminore (Bg). The trail climbs through woodland, pastures, and switchbacks on a mixed surface of mule track and mountain path, all the way to the remains of the dam and panoramic views toward Pizzo Camino and the Orobic peaks. A moderately difficult hike with some steep sections, uneven terrain, and possible mud: sure-footedness is required.
