Confinale Loop: 3 Days of Trekking in the Wild Heart of Stelvio National Park, Val Zebrù

Val Zebrù, in the Stelvio National Park, is one of the most fascinating and wild valleys in the Lombardy Alps. A pure and uncontaminated alpine environment that welcomes hikers with spectacular views, gentle slopes, and extraordinarily rich fauna.

This three-day trek in Val Zebrù, starting from Santa Caterina Valfurva, allows you to experience a total immersion in the nature of the Stelvio National Park amidst great mountains, alpine pastures, and views dominated by the glaciers of the Ortles-Cevedale group.

During the route, we will have excellent opportunities to observe the typical fauna of these mountains: ibex, deer, marmots, and, with a bit of luck, also the majestic Bearded Vulture and the Golden Eagle, symbols of the Stelvio National Park.

The trek includes two overnight stays in mountain huts: one night at the charming Rifugio Quinto Alpini (2877 m), nestled among the mountains of Val Zebrù and famous for its spectacular location, and one night at Rifugio Forni (2200 m), in Santa Caterina Valfurva, where a warm welcome and an always appreciated alpine cuisine await us.
