Description
This loop trail in the Orobie Alps combines scenic beauty and hiking challenge. The walk offers a variety of environments: woods, pastures, gullies, and exposed rocky ridges.
Starting from the village of Roncobello to head towards the Rifugio Capanna 2000 and connect to the Sentiero dei Fiori (Path of Flowers), which runs along the western slope of Pizzo Arera, we will cross well-marked paths and stretches along the ridge, eventually reaching the Bocchetta di Corna Piana, a key point on the route.
Climbing the final section, we will face easy exposed but non-technical passages, which lead to the final ridge of the summit, where we will be rewarded with spectacular views of the surrounding valleys, the Orobie Crests, and the majestic Pizzo Arera alongside us.
The return follows an alternative route that touches Lake Branchino and passes through the Rifugio Capanna 2000, offering new perspectives on the opposite side.
