Description
A hike in the Bolognese Apennines that offers wide open spaces and endless views. The trail winds through expanses of blueberry heath and stretches of ridge that mark the natural border between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany.
During the route we will reach Lake Scaffaiolo, nestled among the mountains, and the Duca degli Abruzzi refuge: an ideal place for a stop with our packed lunch… accompanied by a well-deserved cold beer! 🍺
From the altitude we will reach, the gaze can embrace a vast panorama: from the valleys of Modena and Bologna to beyond, towards the Tuscan Pistoia. An itinerary that combines nature, history and the magic of the great ridge horizons.

Originally from Puglia, but now a Cremona local, I was born and raised on the plains! I discovered my love for trekking later in life, but I've been hiking regularly since 2019. My passion and desire to have fun with others quickly led me to volunteer as a "sweeper" and, thanks to my cheerful nature, a bit of an "entertainer" within trekking groups. Now, instead of bringing up the rear, I'd love to lead the way! That's why in 2024, I also earned my trekking instructor certification, which qualifies me to coordinate small groups. And who knows what the future holds...
