Corno Zuccone in Val Taleggio: easy trek with a cheese tasting
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Easy
Description
An easy loop in the heart of the Val Taleggio, with the view from Corno Zuccone and, on the way back, a tasting of the cheeses that made this valley famous.
The route
We set off with the Guidders from Pizzino, one of the valley's stone villages, and climb at an easy pace through beech woods and clearings. The trail is wide and well marked, the climb steady but never steep: in an hour and a half we are below Corno Zuccone, at 1,458 metres, a balcony over the Val Taleggio, the Val Brembana and the Orobie Prealps.
After the break up high we close the loop along another trail, among huts and pastures. In the village a tasting awaits: Taleggio, Strachitunt and other valley cheeses, with bread and local cured meats. It is included in the price.
Who it is for
- anyone wanting a slow day of nature and flavours
- families with children used to walking
- beginners looking for a loop without difficulties
- dogs welcome on a leash
Good to know
The tasting replaces lunch: water and a snack for the walk are enough. In autumn the valley's beeches turn yellow and red. Car pooling in the outing's Telegram group.
