Description

A gentle yet rewarding ascent: Mount Bo (2072 m) is a natural balcony overlooking the Upper Valsesia. We will start from Alpe Meggiana, after reaching the starting point by car from Piode, and ascend along a simple and panoramic path.

We will skirt the rhododendron bushes and cross Alpe Pizzo, with our gaze already turned towards Monte Rosa, which will accompany us to the summit. From the top, where a small statue of the Madonna stands, we can enjoy the silence and the 360° view of Val Sorba, Alpe di Mera, and the surrounding valleys.

On the way back, a short detour to the small lake of Pizzo di Meggiana, where – weather permitting – we can stop for a picnic lunch.

A perfect excursion for those who love authentic mountains without too much effort, to be shared with the Guidders community.

Guide

Cristina

I chose to become a certified Hiking Guide for one specific reason: to inspire awe. For me, the mountains are a whirlwind of emotions and sensations... a place where all your senses come alive. Your heart beats more freely, your breath deepens... I believe there's a great need to awaken our wildest, most liberated selves. We all need it. Perhaps those who need it most are the ones who don't realize it. My aim isn't to lead large groups of people on hikes filled with historical, botanical, or geological lectures. No. I simply want to help people feel good for a few hours and awaken something within them. I want to share the respect and gratitude I feel for Nature. I want to let you listen to the silence. That silence that so many people aren't used to hearing... and within that silence, to perceive the subtle sounds. In that clean air, to smell the delicate fragrances. In that authentic light, to observe the fleeting details. I want to be a discreet guide, a reserved presence. Perhaps because I'm used to experiencing Nature this way, as a guest and a passerby.
