Evening Hike to Pietra Perduca and Pietra Parcellara
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Easy
Description
A circular evening trek between Pietra Parcellara and Pietra Perduca in the middle Val Trebbia, in the province of Piacenza.
Perfect for those looking for a not-too-difficult hike (also suitable for families) and an authentic experience to relive the traditions of local village festivals in the valley.
The view opens onto the hills of the Emilian Apennines and the ophiolitic rocks formed millions of years ago on the seabed of the Tethys Ocean. During the trek, we will discover geological curiosities, local stories, and endemic plant species that grow only on these distinctive rocks.
We will finish at the summit of Perduca to admire the sunset and then head to the festival held here every year for the feast of St. Anne, where we can eat and drink together.
5 reasons to choose this hike:
- A varied and never monotonous loop, with forest trails, ridge sections, and challenging climbs
- Views over Val Trebbia, in the Piacenza Apennines
- History, nature, and geology all in one
- Discovery of ophiolites, iconic stones
- A genuine atmosphere to share with the Guidders, thanks to ending at the village festival
Car pooling from Travo (PC) is possible, where we will meet at 4:45 PM, or from Piacenza.

Matteo
Hi Guidders! 🧡 I’m Matteo, a certified Hiking Guide. I grew up among the fields, villages, vineyards, and mountain trails of the Emilian Apennines. Although I have traveled extensively over the years—both for work and out of pure passion—I have never stopped feeling deeply connected to my home: the Trebbia Valley. Today, I guide people in discovering these landscapes through slow, authentic experiences defined by steady steps, moments of silence, storytelling, and human connections that leave a lasting impression. I love revealing the small details that make a region truly unique. That’s why every excursion is designed as a complete experience, often enriched by a tasting, a local visit, or a special encounter, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the places we traverse. If you love exploring with curiosity and discovering authentic spots alongside the Guidders community… I’ll see you on the trail! 🥾🌿
