Exciting Monte Pelmo Circuit Trek from Val di Zoldo, between Rifugio Venezia and breathtaking Dolomite views
Guiddy Difficulty Levels

Description
Completely circling Monte Pelmo means spending an entire day in the presence of one of the most recognizable mountains in the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. With the Guidders, we will take on an intense and rewarding trek between Val di Zoldo and Cadore, designed for experienced, fit hikers already used to moving along exposed alpine trails, scree slopes, and unstable terrain.
Pelmo will constantly change its face before our eyes: we will walk beneath enormous dolomite walls, cross debris-filled valleys, high-altitude pastures, and long traverses, until we reach Rifugio Venezia "Alba Maria De Luca," one of the iconic points of the route. Here we can treat ourselves to a break while closely observing the mountain’s imposing structure before continuing on and completing the great loop.
This is not the right trek for anyone looking for a relaxing walk. Sure footing, endurance, and a head for heights are important: some sections are steep and exposed, and the gravelly ground requires attention. But it is precisely this alpine character that makes the Giro del Pelmo so special. Here, it is not only about reaching a destination: the experience is circling an entire mountain, watching it change perspective kilometer after kilometer.

Alessandro
⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵♂️🌲
