Description
This is an excursion suitable for all lovers of the mountains and unspoiled nature.
A beautiful route that winds through one of the wildest and most authentic areas of the Orobie Alps. The first section runs entirely within a dense fir forest, where we can observe the main botanical species that populate these woods and appreciate their characteristics. The typical coolness of the Val Sedornia will accompany us throughout the first part of the journey, making the ascent more pleasant.
Once out of the woods, the slope becomes steeper, adding a touch of adventure to our walk, while always remaining immersed in the pure and uncontaminated beauty of the landscape.
Suddenly, the natural lake of Spigorèl will open up before us, set in a basin between the vertical walls of Monte Fontana Mora and the Corno di Spigorèl. A spectacular setting, perfect for a break: packed lunch, photographs, rest and a moment to be amazed by what surrounds us.
We will resume the walk, going up the meadows that surround the lake, and then enter the valley that leads to the Passo di Petto. The path here becomes more rocky, but it is stable and very suggestive. The last four meters, a little more technical, require attention: there is a short stretch equipped with a chain, useful for safely tackling the passage.
Once you reach the pass, an incredible panorama will open up before you over the Val di Scalve, its peaks and the Orobie giants. Just a few more meters of ascent and we will be at the summit, satisfied with our adventure.
