The trek from Mergozzo to Alpe Vercio is a perfect experience for those seeking authentic nature, open views, and a relaxed pace, without sacrificing the satisfaction of the ascent.
It starts from the charming village of Mergozzo, on the shores of the lake of the same name, to immediately enter the heart of the excursion by crossing the hamlet of Bracchio. From here, the path begins to climb steadily through woods and increasingly open views, until you reach Alpe Vercio, a place suspended in time that once housed a Hermitage.
Here the atmosphere changes: silence, light, and an incredible view of the lakes of the Insubric area, with the Val Grande National Park as a wild backdrop. It is the classic "natural balcony" that makes you stop, breathe, and enjoy every moment.
