Leaving the lights of the village behind, we will take the path that winds gently, wrapped in the mystery of the night. The first steps will lead us through an ancient forest, where the rustling of the leaves and the scent of wet earth will accompany us.As we climb, the path becomes more marked, revealing its nature as a mule track, a witness of times past. With a gradual but constant difference in height, we will ascend the mountain slope. The slow pace will allow us to savor every moment, with our eyes getting used to the darkness and beginning to distinguish the shapes of the surrounding peaks, illuminated only by the moon and stars.After about two hours of walking, we will reach an altitude of 1500 m, and here the surprise will be palpable. The path transforms into a natural balcony, carved into the rock overlooking the valley. Imagine the scene: below us, an abyss of darkness and, in front of us, the imposing structure of the Gleno Dam which, as if by magic, will appear completely illuminated, almost wanting to redeem its sad history with a spectacle of light and hope. It will be a powerful image, capable of exciting and making us reflect on the strength of nature and the fragility of human works.We will continue on this spectacular stretch, a real walkway that will lead us straight to the ruins of the dam. Here, we can admire its majesty even in the dark, with the illuminated details highlighting its architecture and the wounds of time. The small lake behind, also illuminated, will reflect the surrounding lights, creating an almost dreamlike atmosphere.It will be a moment to reflect, to honor the memory of those who are no longer there and to admire the resilience of nature.
