Goat Trail: The Secret Path to Grignetta
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Difficult
Description
Come and experience an unforgettable excursion starting from the charming Piani dei Resinelli, just above Ballabio, to conquer the Grigna Meridionale (Southern Grigna), at 2,184 meters above sea level.
Instead of following the classic Cermenati ridge, we will take a lesser-known but fascinating route: the Sentiero delle Capre (Goat Trail), a steep, wild, and panoramic climb, but never dangerous or exposed. A path that offers thrills and breathtaking views, perfect for those looking for something different from the usual routes.
Once we reach the Bivacco Ferrario, right below the summit, we will take a break to enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Como and the Grigna Settentrionale (Northern Grigna) (the "Grignone"), which dominates the scene with its imposing presence.
The return will be along the panoramic Cermenati ridge, which will gently take us back to the Piani dei Resinelli, closing a hiking loop full of emotions and breathtaking views.
An excursion for true mountain lovers, amidst nature, silence, and unparalleled views. Don't just hear about it!

I'm a certified Mountain Leader (Accompagnatore di Media Montagna - AMM), registered with the Regional College of Alpine Guides of Lombardy. With a degree in engineering, I live in Lecco, where I was born and raised in the foothills of Mount Resegone. I've always loved my beautiful city, nestled between the lake and the mountains, for the spectacular scenery it offers from every angle, whether from its mountaintops or the shores of the lake. Over the years, I've dedicated my free time to various outdoor sports, including trekking, cycling, canoeing, and skiing, and have even participated in several trail running and skyrunning races. My deep passion for nature and my local area has led me to become a Mountain Leader, allowing me to share my love for the trails, peaks, and breathtaking landscapes that the Lecco region and its surroundings have to offer.
