Grignetta at Sunset: An Evening Ascent with Dinner in a Mountain Hut

Climbing the Grignetta (Southern Grigna) at sunset is one of the most evocative experiences you can have in the Lecco Prealps.

Starting from Piani dei Resinelli, we will walk along the famous Cermenati Path, the most direct route that leads to the summit cross of the Grignetta. During the ascent we will cross the incredible Dolomite environment of the Grigna's spires, famous rock formations studied all over the world also for the presence of ancient fossils.

Once at the top of the Grignetta (2184 m), the spectacle is complete: a 360° panorama of the Alpine arc that on clear days ranges from Monviso to Monte Rosa, from the Central Alps to the Apennines, with Lake Como and the entire Po Valley at our feet.

The most magical moment comes when the sun sets behind the mountains and the sky lights up with incredible colors.

The descent will take place with headlamps, accompanied by the lights of the illuminated cities and the starry sky above the Grigne.

To complete this special experience, a well-deserved dinner awaits us in a refuge at Piani dei Resinelli, perfect for sharing the evening with the Guidders over a good mountain dish.
