Description
Our trekking will bring us crossing some of the most suggestive places in the Northern Grigna. After admiring the Porta di Prada, we will walk along the Piancaformia ridge and the Ganda trail reaching the summit of Grignone. From the Brioschi refuge we can admire the wide views of the Valsassina, Orobie and Lake Como.
Our itinerary will start from the parking lot in Vò di Moncodeno above Cainallo. After reaching the Bocchetta di Prada (1,625m above sea level) and admiring the homonymous gate (natural arch symbol of the karst of the Grigne) we will begin the steep ascent towards the ridge. We will walk along the Piancaformia ridge, overcoming several exposed passages but with a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding peaks, up to the short descent that will take us to the Via della Ganda for the final ascent that, with the help of easy chains, will lead us to our destination, the summit of Grignone and the Brioschi refuge (2,410m above sea level).
The descent will take place via the Via della Ganda, touching the Bogani refuge.
EE type trails therefore also sections that are not always well marked and that require a good ability to move on various mountain terrains (uneven path, scree, meadow) as well as good experience of mountain hiking, steadfastness and no vertigo.
