Description
We will walk together along the Sentierone della Brianza, one of the most fascinating routes in the area: an ancient path that for centuries connected rural villages, farmhouses and countryside, and which today offers a perfect balance between nature, history and surprising views.
A medium-length excursion, without technical difficulties, ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in the landscape at the right pace, letting themselves be guided step by step.
The Third Stage: ancient paths and forgotten villages
We will start from the Ravellino hamlet of Colle Brianza (LC) to go back up the ridge of the San Genesio and Crocione Mountains.
We will walk through woods, open views and ancient paths, discovering villages forgotten by time: the silent atmosphere of San Genesio, the surreal charm of Consonno, the "ghost town" of Brianza, and the hidden remains of Polgina, a testimony of a past that resists among the vegetation.
We will conclude a circular itinerary along the suggestive Sentierone della Brianza, walking on ancient roads traveled for centuries by farmers, wayfarers and merchants.
Every step tells a story, every path preserves traces of a past that still lives in the landscape.
