Description
The mountain on our doorstep, the one we often gaze at from afar without realising just how much it has to offer. Together with the Guidders, we’ll set off from Olgiate to follow the Sentierone della Brianza, passing through woods, ancient rural hamlets and scenic viewpoints all the way to the summit of Monte di Brianza. An authentic and surprising hike, perfect for rediscovering the area step by step.
The trek starts from Olgiate Molgora and follows the famous Sentierone della Brianza, a green ridge linking woods, farmsteads and small historic villages. We’ll climb at a steady pace towards Mondonico, immersed in a hilly landscape rich in chestnut and oak trees, with views over the Lombardy plain.
We will then reach the summit of Monte di Brianza, a natural balcony overlooking the Adda, Resegone and Grigne. We will continue towards Veglio and Airuno, completing route that is always varied and enjoyable. The route presents no technical difficulties, with continuous ups and downs requiring a minimum level of fitness.
