From Vigo di Cadore, in the Belluno area, we’ll hike with the Guidders up to Giovanni Spagnolli Bivouac, in the heart of the Venetian Dolomites. The trail starts near the Starezza–Pramossei Military Road and winds through woodland, steep sections, and at times uneven terrain, reaching 2,039 metres: this trek is best suited to hikers with a good level of fitness and sure footing, especially on the descent. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures.
