From Passo Bordala, between Vallagarina and the Trentino Pre-Alps in the province of Trento, we’ll hike together with the Guidders toward the summit of Monte Stivo, a natural balcony overlooking Lake Garda. The trail alternates between stretches through the woods, open pastures, and steeper slopes up to the area of Rifugio Marchetti and the peak. It’s a solid trek, with a good elevation gain and a few demanding sections on rocky ground: a good level of fitness and care on the descent are required. In return, you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views, crisp mountain air, and that wonderful feeling of reaching a true summit.
