Description

A spectacular trek in the heart of the Sesto Dolomites, through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Alps and up to a panoramic peak you'll never forget. Together with the Guidders, we will start from Val Fiscalina to reach the Locatelli Refuge and then ascend to Cima Sasso di Sesto, a prime vantage point overlooking the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. An intense, scenic excursion perfect for those seeking true thrills at high altitude.

We depart from the parking area in Val Fiscalina, an iconic valley nestled between Dolomite rock walls. The first section winds through woods and alpine pastures, with constant views of the surrounding peaks.

Leaving the main valley, we will take the Val Sasso Vecchio trail, a more rugged and dramatic environment that leads gradually to the Locatelli Refuge, one of the most famous mountain huts in the Dolomites.

From the refuge, the short but rewarding final climb to Cima Sasso di Sesto begins. From the summit, an incredible, up-close view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo awaits us, along with a sweeping panorama of the entire Sesto Dolomites group.

If you dream of seeing the Tre Cime from a unique perspective, this trek is for you. Join the Guidders to conquer Cima Sasso di Sesto and experience an epic day in the Dolomites. Book your spot now!

Guide

Alessandro

⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵‍♂️🌲
