Description

A short but intense excursion, immersed in one of the most authentic and wild corners of the Dolomites. We will start from Praciadelan, in the heart of the charming Val d'Oten, a solitary and fascinating valley. From here, we will tackle a steep but rewarding path that will lead us to the Rifugio Chiggiato, a pearl set among the pastures and ridges of the Marmarole.

This mountain group, often defined as "the wildest of the Dolomites", will give us incredible views of its highest peak, the Cimon del Froppa, and the sharp spires of the Spalti di Toro.

🏞️ Once at the refuge, a lunch with a view awaits us, one of those you won't forget: good food, thin air and breathtaking panoramas. A perfect excursion for those looking for real nature, just the right amount of effort and authentic beauty, to be experienced together with the Guidders community.

Guide

Alessandro

⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵‍♂️🌲
