Lake Bianco in Val Vogna: Valsesia's Hidden Gem
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
A small alpine jewel that leaves you speechless: Lake Bianco, nestled among the mountains of Val Vogna, is a destination that offers authentic emotions and picture-postcard panoramas. The excursion starts from Ca' di Janzo, following a gentle and comfortable initial stretch through woods and streams.
From here, the path becomes more decisive and climbs up to Alpe Pile, where the Rifugio Carestia stands, a natural balcony overlooking the valley. The view sweeps from the Ospizio Sottile to Riva Valdobbia, embracing the entire Vogna basin that winds with sinuous curves below us.
A final half hour of walking takes us to Lake Bianco (2,250 m), an alpine mirror of water that enchants with its clear reflections and the frame of rocky peaks. Here we allow ourselves the most beautiful stop, together with the Guidders community.

Stefano
Hi, I'm Stefano, and I've always had a deep connection with the mountains. From a young age, I found freedom, discovery, and a connection with nature on the trails, in the woods, and on the summits. Over time, this passion has grown into something more: a desire to share it with others. I believe that a hike is a unique experience, a journey to discover yourself and the world around you. Today, I guide people of all ages and experience levels as they explore mountain landscapes. I share not only technical knowledge and safety tips, but also respect for the environment and the pleasure of moving at a slow pace, in harmony with nature. I believe that hiking in the mountains is more than just physical activity; it's an experience that can deeply enrich those who live it, helping them rediscover their inner rhythm and see the world with fresh eyes.
