If you're looking for a hike that tests your legs and character, the ascent to Lake Coca, in the heart of the Upper Seriana Valley, is one of those experiences that stays etched in your memory.
It's not just a simple walk, but a true journey to one of the most spectacular environments in the Bergamo Alps.
Starting from Valbondione, the path climbs through woods and historic mule tracks until entering an increasingly alpine and wild environment. As the kilometers pass, the landscape changes: the rock faces become more imposing and the valley opens towards one of the most iconic places in the area.
The destination is Lake Coca, nestled beneath the great walls of Pizzo Coca, the highest mountain in the Orobie Alps. Here, nature offers a unique spectacle: in the springtime, the melting snow breaks the icy blanket, revealing an almost unreal intense blue, creating a spectacular contrast with the last snows.
