Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
A trek full of water, altitude, and character in Val Sambuzza, above Carona, in the province of Bergamo, Lombardy. With Guidders, you climb along a mountain trail through woodland, scree slopes, and pastures up to Lago dei Curiosi and Rifugio Calvi, with wide-open views over the Orobie peaks. This hike is for experienced walkers: significant elevation gain, steep sections, sometimes uneven ground, and passages to tackle with a steady step. The Val Sambuzza Waterfall adds extra energy on the way back. 5 reasons - a truly alpine lake with a character of its own - a historic mountain hut in the heart of the Orobie - a varied trail through valley, alpine pastures, and high altitude - sweeping views of peaks and glacial basins - a group experience with Guidders This hike is special because it brings together a lake, a mountain hut, and a waterfall in a single loop, with a strong Orobie identity and landscapes that genuinely change step by step.
