Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Easy
Description
There is a trail on Lake Como that for centuries has guided wayfarers, merchants, and pilgrims between mountains and water. Today, that route has become one of the most fascinating treks in Lombardy, offering incredible views and an immersion in the history of the area. With Guidders, we will walk the first stage of the Sentiero del Viandante, from Lecco to Mandello del Lario, an itinerary that combines nature, culture, and unforgettable views over the eastern branch of Lake Como.
We will set off from the center of Lecco to follow the ancient Roman road that for centuries was the main link between the small villages overlooking the lake. We will walk along historic mule tracks, crossing woods, ancient stone hamlets, and panoramic terraces overlooking the water, with spectacular views of Resegone, the Grigne, and the mountains embracing the lake.
Every stretch tells a story: that of trade, pilgrims, and the communities that lived in these mountains. This is a trek that wins you over not with high altitudes, but with the beauty of its details, the charm of its villages, and the constant dialogue between rock and the blue waters of Lake Como.
