Loop Trek through Ancient Villages, along the Via Mercatorum, with Incredible Plains Views.
Guiddy Difficulty Levels

Description
A simple, panoramic and surprising loop that starts from Lonno, a small village at the foot of the Val Seriana, and leads to the Costone della Filaressa, one of the most beautiful natural terraces for overlooking the Po Valley, Bergamo and the Upper City.
From the very first steps, we immerse ourselves in a territory that is often snubbed, but rich in history and traditions. We will walk along stretches of the ancient Via Mercatorum, the medieval road that for centuries connected the villages of the Bergamo area. Stone mule tracks, dry stone walls, silent woods and rural views will accompany us on the journey.
We will reach the characteristic village of Salmezza, a small jewel of stone houses and alleys where time seems to have stood still. From here the climb becomes more panoramic and takes us to the Costone della Filaressa, the highest and most suggestive point of our itinerary: a natural balcony with a spectacular view of the entire plain, the Bergamo hills and the first Orobie peaks.
The return to Lonno closes the loop by crossing quiet woods and paths immersed in nature, perfect for an easy but exciting day to experience together with the Guidders 🧡 community.
A trek suitable for everyone, perfect for those who want to discover an authentic, historical Bergamo that is much more fascinating than you might expect.
