Sea, trails and villages that seem made to be reached on foot. If you're after an outdoor day that fills your eyes with real Liguria, this is the hike for you.

You start in Moneglia and walk east all the way to Bonassola, passing through Deiva Marina and Framura: scenic ups and downs, stretches through Mediterranean woods, open views over the blue, and seaside villages at every stop. Each section has its own character, each village adds personality to the route: by the end, you'll feel like you've truly crossed a genuine piece of the Ligurian Levante.

We'll meet at Moneglia train station, which is easily accessible whether you're driving or arriving by train.

Having explored the charming historic center of Moneglia, we'll cross the bridge over the Bisagno stream and begin our trek on a path that starts with a set of steps.

Deiva Marina

The trail continues with a delightful rhythm, alternating between sections in the Mediterranean forest and panoramic viewpoints that gradually open up to stunning coastal vistas. Arriving in the Deiva Marina area marks one of the first real "wow" moments of the day. The landscape expands dramatically, and the trek enters a highly scenic and diverse phase.

Framura: Hike the Cinque Terre's Hidden Gem!

Leaving the village of Deiva behind, we'll follow the Deiva stream to its mouth. After crossing, we'll pick up the trail that leads to Framura. This is probably the most beautiful and quintessentially "Guiddy" section of the route. The trail towards Framura offers one of the most iconic stretches of the entire trek: a classic Mediterranean landscape, a well-graded path, spectacular views of the Ligurian Riviera, and that incredible feeling of being suspended between the hills and the sea.

Bonassola: Discover hidden trails and breathtaking coastal views on foot!

The final stretch leads you towards Bonassola, bringing this traverse to a supremely satisfying close. Reaching the end has that wonderful feeling of a linear hike done right: no backtracking, you've truly completed a journey on foot. Bonassola "hides" one of the most beautiful beaches in the La Spezia province, so it's time to break out your swimsuit! A perfect ending to a trek that blends sport, scenery, and local character in a wonderfully natural way.
