A terrace suspended above Lecco and the lakes
We set off from the Piani dei Resinelli on a loop to Monte Coltignone and its famous Belvedere terrace: a natural platform hanging over the void, from which Lake Como, Lecco and the Brianza lakes stretch out literally at your feet.
The route crosses the Parco Valentino and climbs gently — barely 200 metres of ascent over ten kilometres — through woods and clearings. It is one of those loops that work in any season: only the light changes, the view stays the same.
On the way up we pass the Resinelli mining park, which tells the story of iron extraction in the Grigna, and Rifugio SEL Rocca-Locatelli. The loop closes back at the starting point.
