Description

🏔️ Monte Aga – The rocky queen of Val Brembana

Monte Aga (2720 m) is one of the most iconic peaks of the Bergamo Orobie, a summit that dominates the Upper Val Brembana and that every hiker dreams of conquering at least once. The ascent starts from Carona, a small alpine village, and crosses spectacular environments between alpine lakes and historic refuges.

The itinerary first leads to the Rifugio Fratelli Longo, a refreshment stop and a reference point for those tackling these mountains. It then continues towards the evocative Lago del Diavolo (Devil's Lake), nestled between rocky walls and high-altitude pastures. From here, the path becomes more challenging and offers the final ascent among exposed sections and rocks that require a steady foot and some experience.

The effort will be amply rewarded: from the summit cross, the view sweeps 360° over all the Orobie, up to the most distant Alpine peaks, in a breathtaking panorama.
