Mount Alto from Ceratello: A Loop Trek on Lake Iseo with Lunch at Rifugio Magnolini
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
The loop hike to Monte Alto (1,727 m) is a panoramic and rewarding trek on Lake Iseo, perfect for Guidders looking for nature, great views, and conviviality in a single experience.
The starting point is the village of Ceratello, just above Lovere, a small mountain jewel suspended between the lake and the mountains, which has preserved its authentic character intact. From here, the trail winds through woods and pastures, offering the typical tranquility of the winter environment and a privileged perspective on the lake below.
As you ascend, the panorama gradually opens up to offer spectacular views of the Camonica Valley and Lake Iseo, with Montisola and its minor islands emerging from the waters, creating a unique scenery.
From the summit of Monte Alto, the view sweeps 360° over the Orobie Alps, the Po Valley, and, on the clearest days, as far as the Apennines.
After the panoramic break at the summit, the route continues towards the Rifugio Magnolini, where the most convivial moment of the day awaits us: lunch in the refuge, with excellent dishes of Lombard cuisine and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
An ideal trek for those who love panoramic loops, a relaxed pace, and tasty endings, to be experienced together with the Guidders community.
