Description

There are hikes that surprise you step after step, changing face with every kilometer. Monte Cengledino, on the edge of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, is one of them. With the Guidders, we’ll enjoy a circular trek through conifer forests, ancient alpine huts, panoramic ridgelines, and alpine lakes, immersed in one of the most captivating corners of western Trentino.

We’ll set off among pastures and woodland, following a trail that climbs steadily up to the summit of Monte Cengledino, where one of the most spectacular views in the area awaits us. From up here, your gaze takes in the Adamello Group, Presanella, the peaks of Val di Sole, and the mountains overlooking upper Val Rendena, offering a 360° panorama that rewards every meter of ascent.

From the summit, we’ll continue along a striking panoramic ridge, one of the most thrilling sections of the route, before beginning the descent toward the beautiful Valbona Lakes. Here the landscape changes once again: among scree slopes, high-altitude pastures, and rhododendrons, it will be easy to spot marmots whistling among the rocks, while above us we may see the short-toed snake eagle soaring, an elegant bird of prey that symbolizes mountain environments.

A break on the lakeshores will be the perfect moment to relax, photograph the reflections of the mountains, and observe the delicate alpine ecosystem that thrives around these crystal-clear bodies of water.

On the way back, the trail gradually re-enters the forest, where the meadows give way to conifers and the surroundings become cooler and more shaded. And, for those who wish, a final stop at Malga Cengledino will be the best way to round off this wonderful high-altitude day together with the Guidders.

Guide

Stefania

Hi Guidders! My name is Stefania, and I was born and raised in Limone sul Garda, a place where mountains meet the lake to create truly spectacular scenery. The mountains have always been part of my life, but it was around the age of 25 that I began to experience them more consciously—and from that moment on, it was love at first sight. My training with the Lombardy Alpine Guides Association gave me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the mountain environment, from geology and botany to wildlife and weather. Every outing is a new chance to keep learning and to be amazed by everything nature has to offer. My goal is to guide you in discovering the mountains in a safe, relaxed, and engaging way. Whether it’s your first hike or you already have plenty of experience, I would love to help you enjoy unforgettable days filled with emotion, breathtaking views, and special moments to share. Because the mountains are not just a destination—they are a place to slow down, challenge yourself, build new friendships, and return home with memories that will stay in your heart forever.
