Monte Colombina: the balcony over Lake Iseo from Bossico
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Easy Plus
Description
Pine woods, pastures and a balcony over the Sebino
The climb to Monte Colombina is one of those treks that let you breathe easy from the first steps: fragrant pine woods, quiet pastures, huts appearing among the meadows and a silence that seems designed to clear your head.
We start from Bossico, the plateau above Lovere, climbing through pine and beech woods on gentle bends that offer the first glimpses of the lake. At the top, at 1,460 metres, a natural balcony opens up from which Lake Iseo, Val Camonica and the Orobie all appear together.
It is 10 kilometres and 600 metres of ascent: the classic route everyone enjoys — families, curious hikers and Guidders after a calm day with views worth sharing.
