Description
From Rifugio Malga Ra Stua, in the Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites above Cortina, we’ll head together with the Guidders toward Croda del Becco at 2,810 m, the great peak that dominates the Braies area. The trail begins gently through forest and pastures, then changes pace: scree slopes, steep sections, unstable ground, and a more demanding final climb require sure footing, excellent fitness, and experience in the mountains and with exposed trails. In return, a true Dolomite hike: open valley, pale rock faces, high-altitude silence, and sweeping views between Veneto and South Tyrol, with a privileged view over Lake Braies. Approximate details. 5 reasons to go - iconic peak of the Ampezzo Dolomites - scenic start from Ra Stua - varied and never ordinary trail - wide panorama over the Braies area - shared experience with the Guidders This hike is unique because it combines the wild soul of the Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites with a symbolic summit, along a progressive route that takes you from the forest to the true high mountains, without filters.

Alessandro
⛰ Hi there! I’m Alessandro. I’m 34 years old and live in the heart of the Dolomites, in the Cadore region. I am a certified International Mountain Leader (accredited by the Veneto Mountain Guide Association and UIMLA), a graduate in Sports Science, a mountain bike guide, and—believe it or not—a sommelier! After all, there’s nothing like a good glass of wine after a long hike. I love experiencing the mountains in every way possible: from trekking and trail running to mountain bike adventures. For me, moving through nature is pure energy, discovery, and emotion. Sharing this passion with others is my mission. Whether we are on a scenic trail or riding through the woods on two wheels, my goal is always the same: to provide authentic, active, and restorative experiences. See you on the trails… or maybe over a great glass of wine! 🍷🚵♂️🌲
