The trail immediately begins with an intimate and spiritual atmosphere: ancient shrines accompany the first steps along a mule track that crosses a little-visited valley. As you ascend, the context changes: you enter forests of beech and fir trees, cool and shady, perfect even on the hottest days.
The real spectacle arrives at altitude: open alpine pastures, panoramic clearings, and a view that gradually widens to include Lake Orta and, on clear days, the entire Monte Rosa range. At the summit, the obelisk with the iron eagle is one of the most iconic symbols of the area.
