Mount Menna and MAGA Refuge: A Panoramic Trek from Zorzone in the Serina Valley

An intense and panoramic excursion in the heart of the Bergamasque Orobie, starting from the village of Zorzone, in Val Serina, along the path that leads to the famous Rifugio MAGA and the summit of Monte Menna.

Leaving the village behind, the path immediately enters the woods and begins to climb with a constant slope through hairpin bends and clearings. The walk is steady and allows you to gradually gain altitude while the vegetation thins out and the views begin to open up over Val Serina and Monte Alben.

As we ascend, the environment changes: the forest gives way to high-altitude pastures and the first views of the great peaks of the Orobie. We will reach the Rifugio MAGA (2013 m), a point of reference for hikers in the area, where we will stop for a break and enjoy the view.

From here begins the most spectacular part of the excursion: the final ascent towards Monte Menna, along a panoramic ridge that offers increasingly wide views of the surrounding mountains.

The last few meters will require a little more attention, but the arrival at the summit repays every effort. From the top of Monte Menna (2300 m), the view opens up to 360° on the Bergamasque Orobie, among ridges, valleys and peaks that follow one another to the horizon.

After a well-deserved lunch break at the summit, we will begin the descent along the same route, with the satisfaction of having conquered one of the most panoramic peaks of Val Serina together with the Guidders community.
