Mount Menna: Bivacco Maga and Its Wild Ridge
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Difficult Plus
Description
From Zorzone, in the municipality of Oltre il Colle in the Bergamo area, we’ll head up with the Guidders towards Monte Menna, among the slopes of the Bergamo Orobie and the Maga Bivouac above Roncobello. This hike follows mountain trails through wooded sections before opening onto broad slopes and a ridge, with sweeping views over Val Serina and the surrounding peaks. It’s a trek for hikers with a good level of fitness: the ascent is long, the terrain can be steep at times, and there are rocky, exposed sections that require sure footing. In return, you’ll enjoy a true mountain day shared with the community. 5 reasons to join - an iconic summit in the Bergamo Orobie - wide-open views over Val Serina and the surrounding area - a stop at the Maga Bivouac - a varied route through forest, alpine pastures, and ridge terrain - an authentic, shared Guiddy experience What makes this hike special is the constant change of scenery, from the village of Zorzone all the way up to Monte Menna, finishing in a high-mountain setting that feels like a real adventure.
