Mount Misma Hike: Santa Maria Church and Panoramic Views

A Bergamo classic that never fails to impress: Monte Misma, a natural balcony overlooking the Seriana Valley and Val Cavallina. Together with the Guidders, we’ll set off from Forcella di Predalunga on a beautiful circular route through woods, mountain huts and scenic trails up to the summit. Once at the top, the charming little church of Santa Maria del Misma awaits us – the perfect spot for a relaxing break surrounded by nature.

We’ll leave the car at Forcella di Predalunga, in front of the sanctuary, where the path begins that climbs to the Cappelletta degli Alpini and the Pratolina huts. From here, we’ll follow the CAI 539 mule track along the southern slope of the mountain, with a steady but never monotonous climb through woods and panoramic clearings.

We’ll reach the summit of Monte Misma at an altitude of 1,160 m, the ideal spot to admire Bergamo and much of the Po Valley. On the descent, we’ll follow the CAI 601 trail down to the little church of Santa Maria del Misma, an area equipped with tables and a fountain, perfect for a lunch break or a picnic. We’ll return via CAI 513, completing a full and very pleasant loop.
