Description
Mount Palanzone (1436 m) is one of the most panoramic peaks of the Larian Triangle, a mountain that offers spectacular views of Lake Como and the Lombard Prealps.
Our Guidders' trekking starts from the small and charming hamlet of Lemna, nestled in the woods above the lake. From here, the path begins to climb through chestnut and beech forests, immediately entering a peaceful and panoramic natural environment.
The ascent leads to one of the most characteristic points of the route: the Pizzo dell'Asino, a natural balcony from which splendid views open onto Lake Como and the mountains surrounding the Larian Triangle.
Continuing along the path, you reach the summit of Monte Palanzone, a grassy and panoramic peak perfect for a long and regenerating break. Here we will stop for a packed lunch surrounded by one of the widest panoramas in the area.
After the break, we will resume our journey towards the nearby Rifugio Riella, where those who wish can stop for a coffee or a drink before the descent.
The return completes the loop passing through Alpe di Lemna, where a slice of cake or a typical snack becomes the perfect way to end the day.
It is one of those treks that the Guidders particularly love: views of the lake, paths in the woods and moments of conviviality between refuges and alpine pastures.
