Mount Pasquella and Alpe di Colonno: A loop trek above Lake Como with ridges and breathtaking views.
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate
Description
A circular trek above Lake Como that starts from the quiet hamlet of Lura, in the municipality of Blessagno, and takes the Guidders into one of the most authentic and panoramic corners of the Intelvi Valley.
Here you walk away from the crowds, through woods, pastures, and ridges that suddenly open onto spectacular views. This itinerary combines everything you look for in a complete hike: physical ascent, panoramic passages, and a perfect finale amidst nature and tradition.
From the very first steps, you enter a relaxing and natural environment, crossing paths that lead towards the Le Radici farm and the Pianello locality, where the refuge becomes a first point of reference along the route.
From here, the trek changes pace: the ascent to Monte Pasquella becomes more intense, with slopes that require pace and endurance. But it is precisely this section that makes the experience even more rewarding.
During the route, we will encounter ever-changing environments: woods, clearings, and open ridges. We will encounter the Monte Pasquella viewpoint, one of the most spectacular points of the excursion, where Lake Como opens up below us along with the surrounding mountains.
The crossing continues along the ridge, in a series of ups and downs between Monte Sertore and Monte Costone, offering continuous glimpses and a feeling of total freedom.
The trek culminates at Alpe di Colonno, a perfect place for a rejuvenating break, where you can also enjoy homemade dishes of Alpine tradition. A moment that the Guidders know how to appreciate: the one in which effort and satisfaction meet.
The return closes a varied and never monotonous loop, bringing us back through paths and woods to the starting point.
A complete, authentic, and perfect experience for those who want to experience Lake Como from above.
