Description

Two days of trekking in the heart of alpine history along one of the most extraordinary routes in the Alps: the legendary Road of 52 Tunnels on Monte Pasubio.

This iconic route was built during the First World War by Italian troops as an extraordinary feat of military engineering to supply the high-altitude positions, avoiding enemy fire. Even today, it represents one of the most fascinating historical treks between Veneto and Trentino.

On the first day, we will hike the spectacular Road of 52 Tunnels, a military mule track carved into the rock that passes through tunnels, vertical walls, and panoramic balconies until we reach the Achille Papa Refuge (1928 m), located on the summit of the Pasubio massif.

The tunnels, often dark and evocative, tell the story of the soldiers who fought on these mountains, making the walk a true journey into the memory of the Great War.

The evening will be dedicated to relaxation and sharing the experience with the Guidders at the Papa Refuge, surrounded by one of the most extensive panoramas of the Prealps.

On the second day, we will explore the summit area of Monte Pasubio, among panoramic ridges, trenches, and military emplacements that are still visible, before descending along the historic Strada degli Scarubbi, which will close this magnificent alpine loop.

A unique experience where history, nature, and mountains merge into one of the most iconic treks in the Italian Alps.
