Mount Pegherolo: an authentic hike along the ridgeline to the summit
Guiddy Difficulty Levels
Intermediate Plus
Description
We set off from San Simone, in the municipality of Valleve in Val Brembana, Bergamo province, on a trek climbing toward Monte Pegherolo through high pastures, open slopes, and a long ridge with a true alpine feel. Together with the Guidders, we share a rewarding, no-nonsense mountain hike: a trail with some steep sections, occasionally unstable ground, and stretches where sure-footedness is essential, especially at higher altitude. The effort is well rewarded with sweeping views over the Orobie peaks and the valley below. Why join - Easy meeting point in San Simone - A true summit in the Bergamo Orobie - Wide-open views from ridge to valley - An ideal hike for fit and experienced Guidders - A genuine, memorable group experience This hike is special because it combines easy access with real high-mountain character: there’s no lake, waterfall, or mountain hut taking center stage here, but an authentic summit to earn step by step.
